MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment at both hotels - Wakefield Mill Hotel and Spa .

The technician will also be responsible for maintaining an extremely high level of customer service and professionalism while repairing and maintaining catering equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, maintain, repair and test various equipment. (swimming pool, Jacuzzi)

  • Interact with hotel guests and ensure that any information they require is handled in an appropriate, professional and courteous manner

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to service calls in both hotels

  • Assess and carry out repairs quickly, efficiently and accurately;

  • Maintain an orderly and accurate inventory of parts in the storeroom;

  • Train other staff in preventive maintenance and equipment operating procedures;

  • Work shifts are from Friday to Tuesday;

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma.

  • Ability to understand and communicate instructions in French and English.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Knowledge of local, provincial and federal work compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to find alternative solutions to problems.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • You must have excellent customer service skills and be able to ask in-depth questions, understand and solve customer problems;

  • You must have a good knowledge of smartphones and be able to learn and navigate new software quickly.

Compensation: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
