Why did you choose to work at the Wakefield Mill?
For the scenic landscape, the work atmosphere and the proximity of the waterfall.
What do you enjoy most about the Mill ?
We get to meet our guests in their most important moments... and being in charge of the wine list helps too.
What is your favorite task ?
Take inventory of our wines, review the list and add new finds to the list.
What is the essential quality to do your job ?
Loving people!
What is your best memory at the Wakefield Mill ?
There are so many, but if I have to choose one, the first time I realized that our customers were becoming regulars and returning for the experience we offer.
An anecdote to share ?
In Spring 2019, the melting snow caused the river water to rise, and the fall was so strong that the water went over the windows of the spa! Both of our solariums were shaking with the power of the water, and as the evening progressed, the water rose. Our guests were impressed, but the staff was just watching the water rise anxiously!
What do you enjoy the most of the region ?
Its topography, the harmony between forest and agriculture.
Why would you recommend the Wakefield Mill for work and/or sightseeing?
For the work atmosphere, working where people choose to take their vacation is really nice!
